JUNIORS (Improvers and New Starters)
Monday at Parsons Pightle, Old Coulsdon.
Thursday at Hooley, Coulsdon.
This class is primarily for the young dog up to 2 years of age who is commencing training and those who attended the puppy foundation and wish to build on this training. The class is also suitable for rehomed/rescued pets. This class offers the opportunity to complete the training and test for the Bronze and Silver Good Citizen awards issued by The Kennel Club. The training offered in this class will also assist gain adequate obedience for agility training and Breed showing.
Training will focus on play, giving up toy, attention, walking to heel, stand, down, sit and wait; come back when called and retrieve a toy or dumbell. Also will learn to stay when told, not jump up and good manners. Legal obligations and care and responsibility for your pet.
Good Citizens Tests are run twice yearly in October and April respectively. (This is optional). An experienced trainer accredited by The Kennel Club will assess course participants. A Kennel Club Certificate will be awarded to those who pass.
Puppy/Junior Training Walks - Weekends
These training sessions will focus on training your puppy on a walk in a safe area. The aim is to assist socialisation and control. i.e getting puppy to come back when called and to walk on lead and being happy and confident. (Maximum of 5 per session and will be approximately 60 minutes. Dates for these walks will be by arrangement so please review the club calendar and discuss with myself if interested.These are held monthly during the summer, please see current events on home page or contact the trainer for date of next walk. You will need to register your interest, you cannot just turn up.
